The University of the Cordilleras (UC), through the Student Affairs Services – Student Development and Welfare Center (SAS–SDWC), successfully held the Student Assistants’ Culminating Event on August 19, 2025, at the UC Theater, with the theme “Beyond Duty: A Tribute to Excellence and Growth.”
The event celebrated the dedication, growth, and achievements of UC Student Assistants (SAs) who have shown exemplary performance in balancing their academic and work responsibilities. It served as a meaningful venue to recognize outstanding SAs for their diligence, perseverance, and contributions to their respective offices and to the UC community.
In her message, Dr. Rhodora A. Ngolob, Vice President for Administration and Student Services, commended the Student Assistants for their commitment and integrity. She emphasized that while their tasks may often seem ordinary, the impact of their service is deeply significant to the university’s operations and culture of excellence.
Adding inspiration to the event, Mr. Jerry C. Ymson, a former Student Assistant and UC alumnus, served as the guest speaker. He shared his personal story of perseverance—how he faced hardships as a working student but overcame them through determination and faith. He encouraged the current Student Assistants to keep striving despite challenges, reminding them that their hard work and discipline today will serve as the foundation for future success.
