Ma’am Mervhi Lynne B. Lucio, Scholarship and Special Programs Coordinator, discusses Republic Act No. 10913 and the various roles and responsibilities of TES Grantees.

The University of Cordilleras CHED TES Committee successfully conducted the CHED-Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Orientation and Fund Disbursement on October 26, 2024. Held from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in Room U1002, the event was attended by 58 grantees of the TES program.

The orientation began with an in-depth Overview of the Republic Act 10931 Tertiary Education Program and the Responsibilities of TES Grantees, presented by Mervhi Lynne B. Lucio, Scholarship and Special Programs Coordinator. Ms. Lucio emphasized the significance of the TES program in promoting equitable access to quality tertiary education and outlined the roles and obligations of grantees in maintaining their eligibility.

Gemma D. Malagayo, Accounting Staff, explained the Process of Fund Disbursement, ensuring clarity and transparency in how financial aid is distributed. She guided the grantees through the required steps to access their subsidies efficiently.

Jennifer P. Malayo, UC TES Focal Person, provided General Reminders to grantees, highlighting important deadlines, compliance requirements, and tips for managing their financial aid responsibly.

The TES Orientation and Fund Disbursement program reflected UC’s dedication to supporting its students in maximizing the benefits of government scholarships. The university’s proactive approach ensures grantees are well-informed and equipped to succeed academically and beyond.

The event concluded with an open forum, where grantees expressed their gratitude and sought clarifications about the program, signaling another successful collaboration between UC and CHED in fostering educational opportunities.
