The University of the Cordilleras through the Student Affairs Services – Student Development and Welfare Center (SAS–SDWC) successfully conducted the CHED UniFAST Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) Orientation and Releasing of Notice of Award (NOA) for Batch 21.1 on February 6, 2026, at the UC Media Library.
Thirty-three (33) grantees were qualified for the 2nd Term of AY 2024–2025, and the orientation aimed to formally welcome the TDP beneficiaries and ensure that they are well-informed about the policies, responsibilities, and expectations of the program.

The activity formally opened with the Welcome Remarks delivered by Ms. Jennifer Malayo, SDWC Officer, who emphasized its importance in supporting students’ access to higher education and encouraged the grantees to responsibly uphold their obligations as beneficiaries of government assistance.
The orientation proper and signing of the Notice of Award were facilitated by Ms. Mervhi Lynne B. Lucio, Scholarship and Special Programs Coordinator, who provided a comprehensive discussion on the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) or Republic Act No. 10931. The session focused on the roles, responsibilities, and accountability of CHED UniFAST TDP grantees, ensuring a clear understanding of the program guidelines.

The activity concluded with the formal signing of the NOA, officially confirming the students’ status as CHED UniFAST TDP beneficiaries. Through this initiative, the SAS–SDWC reaffirmed its commitment to guiding and supporting grantees in understanding their benefits and responsibilities under the CHED UniFAST TDP.
