On June 13, 2024, the University of the Cordilleras, through its Student Affairs Services (SAS) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) lead by Dr. Rhodora Ngolob, Vice President for Administration and Student Services, officially turned over 282 confiscated e-cigarettes and tobacco products to the Public Order and Safety Division (POSD) of Baguio City. This turnover underscores the university’s continued commitment to its Smoke-Free University Advocacy.
This collaboration shows the university’s support to Baguio City Ordinance No. 34, Series of 2017, and Resolution No. 257, which mandate all schools and educational institutions in the city to strictly prohibit the entry, sale, possession, and use of vape products.
