The Student Development and Welfare office (SDWO) conducted its General Orientation for new Student Assistants for the 2nd Term of AY 2024-2025 on January 16, 2025. The event, held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Room S115, welcomed 34 participants into the program. 

The orientation aimed to prepare the new batch of student assistants for their responsibilities while familiarizing them with the policies and expectations of the university. 

Janine Ericka Paneda, Student Discipline Coordinator, led a session on Student Conduct and Discipline, focusing on professionalism, accountability, and adherence to UC’s policies. 

Jennifer P. Malayo, SDWO Officer, discussed the Student Assistantship Program Agreement, ensuring that participants understood their roles, benefits, and commitments under the program. 

Mervhi Lynne B. Lucio, Scholarship and Special Programs Coordinator, facilitated the Signing of Agreements and Filling Out of Individual Cumulative Forms. She also shared General Reminders and Announcements, addressing essential tasks and program guidelines. 

The orientation served as an avenue to equip the new student assistants with the knowledge and tools necessary to balance their academic pursuits with their work responsibilities. UC continues to uphold its mission of nurturing student assistants as they contribute to the university community while pursuing their educational goals.
